GP and TG Easy Release Panel Kit in Stainless Steel
SmartSpeed66 Royal Alloy Quick release panel set
The perfect kit for the RA side panels, no tools required. Fits TG and GP models.
We have attached some photos in the product above to aid fitting
Fitting is straight forward, Please do not have the RA running when removing or fitting fixings
The Kit consists of
-
Large Black thumb wheel x 2
-
Two, Black thumb wheels that join together x2
-
Stainless Thumb wheel and back that join together x2
-
Stainless thumb wheel
The Single Black thumb wheel is for the front Side Panel fixing, this is underneath the scooter at the front of the panel. Access is easier from the right side, the left side requires the scooter to be placed on the main stand, with the side stand also down. This will help with access.
The rear fixings, go underneath the Scooter at the rear of each panel. The double black thumb wheel is used here. Fitting is blind unless laying on the floor, but straight forward and easy to do once practised
The final Fixing is the Stainless thumb wheel, Two types of Panel can be found on the RA.
The first style of panel, has the head of the fixing on the outside (see photo) Simply push the fixing through and screw on the rear fixing.
This can be a difficult fixing as the holes do not always line up.
TOP TIP
If you can not line up the fixing holes, make sure the Panel is secured with the other fixings, then run a 6mm drill bit through to line up the holes. Touch up any exposed metal to prevent corrosion.
The second style of Panel. Does not have an exposed Stainless bolt head, but is fixed to a return on the Side Panel (see Photo). Again lining up this area can be tricky. We have found it easier to fit this fixing first on this style of Panel
The remaining Stainless Thumb screw is for the Battery cover, and is a different thread to the other fixings
TOP TIP
Keep all threads lubricated for best performance
