GP and TG Easy Panel Kit in Colours
SmartSpeed66 Easy Panel Kit
The perfect kit for the RA side panels, no tools required. Fits TG and GP models.
Fitting is straight forward, Please do not have the RA running when removing or fitting fixings
The Kit consists of
-
2 x Large black plastic thumb wheels, large thread {front fixings}
-
2 x Black plastic thumb wheels, smaller thread {rear fixings}
-
2 x Black thumbwheel set (for rear fixing)
-
2 x Silver threaded U clips {Center fixings}
-
2 x Alloy coloured thumb screws {Center fixings}
-
1 x Alloy coloured battery cover screw
-
Nylon washers and spring washers
Firstly remove any fixings or clips on the frame, you will not be needing any of these
The Large Black thumb wheel x 2 is for the front Side Panel fixing, this is underneath the scooter at the front of the panel. Access is easier from the right side, the left side requires the scooter to be placed on the main stand, with the side stand also down. This will help with access. Use a spring washer here
The rear fixings. Here you use the black plastic thumb wheel set These go underneath the Scooter at the rear of each panel. Screw the Black plastic thumb wheel from the wheel side through the panel and screw on the female thumb screw. Fitting is blind unless laying on the floor, but straight forward and easy to do once practised. Use a spring washer here.
The final Fixing is the Centre one, this is for the Coloured Alloy Bolt,
This style of panel should have the head of the fixing on the outside (see photo) Slide the threaded silver U clip on to the frame here. Then add the nylon washer and spring washer to the fixing and thread it in. Take care to not cross thread the fixing
TOP TIP
This can be a difficult fixing as the holes do not always line up. We have on occasion found its easier to increase the hole in the panel with a 6mm drill bit. add some paint to protect the panel
The remaining single coloured Alloy Thumb screw is for the Battery cover, and is a different thread to the other fixings
TOP TIP
Keep fixings loose until all fitted, then tighten.
Keep all threads lubricated for best performance, a set of spring washer are provided for additional security
